What is Various Archives?
Various Archives is a curated discovery platform for luxury vintage and archival fashion. We bring together professional sellers and specialist boutiques in one browsing experience. You discover products on Various Archives and complete purchases on the seller's Shopify store.
What makes Various Archives different?
We work with professional sellers, focus on luxury, designer, vintage, and archival pieces, and give visibility to the sellers and their expertise rather than operating as a mass resale marketplace.
Buying and Discovering
How does buying work?
Browsing happens on Various Archives. Buying happens on the seller's Shopify store. When you click through, your cart is opened on the seller's store and checkout is completed through Shopify checkout.
Does Various Archives sell items directly?
No. Each seller is the merchant of record and is responsible for the sale, shipping, returns, refunds, and after-sales support.
Trust and Authenticity
Are items authentic?
Items are listed by professional sellers whose reputation depends on the integrity of what they sell. Each seller is reviewed before onboarding, and we may conduct listing checks at our discretion. Authenticity remains the seller's responsibility because the sale is completed on the seller's store.
How are sellers selected?
Seller applications are reviewed manually. We consider professional status, store presence, curation, reputation, verification materials where relevant, and alignment with luxury, designer, and archival fashion.
Condition and Sizing
Condition and sizing are described by each seller. Vintage and archival sizing is rarely standardised, so compare the seller's measurements with a garment you already own. If information is missing, contact the seller before purchasing.
Orders, Shipping, Returns, and Taxes
The seller handles shipping, returns, refunds, taxes, duties, and customer support for purchases made on their store. Seller policies can vary, especially for vintage and archival items, so review them before checkout.

Currency and Pricing
Prices on Various Archives may be displayed in a converted currency for browsing. The seller's Shopify checkout is the source of truth for final price, currency, taxes, duties, shipping, and payment.
Vintage and archival pieces are often one of one. If an item sells on the seller's store, it may briefly remain visible on Various Archives until the next sync updates availability.
Wishlist and Browsing
You can browse without an account. As a guest, wishlist and cart state may be stored locally in your browser and can reset if you clear browser data or switch devices.
If you create a free account — with an email and password or with Google — your wishlist and cart are saved to your account and follow you across devices.
Sellers
Various Archives is open to professional sellers with a curated selection of designer vintage, archival, or luxury fashion. To apply or ask about seller onboarding, email contact@various-archives.com.
Sellers currently need a Shopify store and must install Various Archives Connector, the Shopify Sales Channel app used to sync products and manage publication to Various Archives.
Reporting and Safety
If you spot counterfeit, illegal, misleading, or suspicious content, email contact@various-archives.com with the Various Archives URL, seller URL if relevant, your concern, and supporting details. We review reports and act based on available evidence.
Sustainability
Buying second-hand and archival pieces extends the life of garments. Our primary focus is craftsmanship, design heritage, and the cultural value of the pieces we feature.
